Poor tree protection during construction. Soil compaction and root severance is likely to cause irreparable damage to the root system of this mature beech tree, compromising its structural stability. The inevitable removal of the beech tree will now incur great expense to the new home owners and a significant loss of amenity for the neighbourhood. A proper tree survey and calculated tree constraints plan during the design stage could have avoided this root damage.
